Michigan downs GCC, 14-1

BLOOMINGTON, IN, April 7, 2002— A second-quarter goal by sophomore Katie Flaherty (Suffield, OH/St. Thomas Aquinas) was all the Grove City College women's water polo team could muster in a 14-1 loss to Division I University of Michigan on Sunday at Indiana University in Bloomington.

The other Lady Wolverines built a 7-0 lead after the first period and led 8-0 before Grove City netted its lone tally.

Grove City finished the weekend 1-3, moving its overall record to 2-10.
