Grove City splits pair of overtime matches Saturday 

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's water polo went 1-1 Saturday in the second day of the Grove City College Invitational. The Lady Wolverines dropped a 6-5 overtime decision to Connecticut College before bouncing back for a 5-4 overtime victory over Division II Queens College of New York. 

Against Connecticut College, freshman Lauren Schade (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) scored twice and recorded three steals while junior Jessica Zedaker (Houston, Texas/Cypress Creek), senior Abby Sakowski (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) and junior Tammy Hamsher (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) all scored once. 

Zedaker added a pair of assists and five steals while junior Katie Flaherty (Suffield, Ohio/St. Thomas Aquinas) and senior Lisa Gregor (Pittsburgh, Pa./Trinity Christian) each had assists. Junior Julie Zedaker (Houston, Texas/Cypress Creek) added a pair of steals.

In the nightcap Saturday, Grove City (7-17) pulled out the victory over Queens as Flaherty scored with 1:48 left in overtime. A Schade goal late in regulation forced the overtime. It was Schade's second goal of the game. Jessica Zedaker scored once and had three assists while Flaherty and Sakowski both scored. Zedaker also made seven steals. 

In goal, junior Julie Zedaker (Houston, Texas/Cypress Creek) stopped 19 shots and added three steals.
