Lady Wolverines drop 6-5 decision at Behrend

ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's water polo team closed the regular season with a 6-5 loss at Penn State Behrend Tuesday night.

Junior Tammy Hamsher (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) scored a pair of goals and recorded three steals for Grove City (8-23) while junior Jessica Zedaker (Houston, Texas/Cypress Creek) scored once, added an assist and tallied 10 steals on the evening. 

Seniors Lisa Gregor (Pittsburgh, Pa./Trinity Christian) and Abby Sakowski (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) each scored goals with Sakowski and senior Sarah Grabowski (Pittsburgh, Pa./Perry Traditional Academy) both recording assists.

In goal, junior Julie Zedaker (Houston, Texas/Cypress Creek) stopped 11 shots and also secured four steals.

Both Grove City and Penn State Behrend will compete in the eight-team Collegiate III Women's Water Polo National Championships in Claremont, Calif. May 2-4.
