Wolverines, Hoosiers top Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's water polo team dropped a pair of matches Saturday at the College Pool in Collegiate Water Polo Association Western Division play. Michigan handed Grove City a 16-3 setback Saturday afternoon while Indiana downed Grove City, 17-4, Saturday night.

Sophomore Caitlin Ewing (Grafton, Wis./Grafton) fired in three goals for the Wolverines against Michigan while sophomore Virginia Larsen (Seattle, Wash./Tacoma Baptist) and junior Lauren Schade (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) each had one assist. Schade also blocked one shot.

In goal, freshman Keala Walter (Newburg, Ore./Newburg) stopped 22 shots. She also had two steals.

Ewing and Larsen each scored twice against Indiana while Schade and Walter each had an assist. Walter also had three steals while Ewing added a pair of steals. Walter stopped nine shots.

Grove City will host Penn State Behrend March 29.
