Mercyhurst tops Wolverines, 7-4

ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's water polo team fell to 4-11 Wednesday night with a 7-4 loss at Mercyhurst in Collegiate Water Polo Association Western Division action.

Grove City rallied to draw within 4-3 entering the fourth period but Mercyhurst sealed the victory with three fourth-quarter goals.

Sophomore Caitlin Ewing (Grafton, Wis./Grafton) fired in three goals for the Wolverines while junior Lauren Schade (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) added a goal. Freshman goalkeeper Keala Walter (Newburg, Ore./Newburg) stopped 12 shots.

Grove City will host Gannon Friday night at 6:15 in the Grove City Invitational.
