Gannon tops Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's water polo team dropped an 8-1 decision to visiting Gannon Friday night in the Grove City College Invitational at Grove City College Pool.

Junior Lauren Schade (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) scored Grove City's lone goal in the second period while freshman Keala Walter (Newburg, Ore./Newburg) supplied the assist. In goal, Walter stopped 18 of 26 shots.

Schade, sophomore Caitlin Ewing (Grafton, Wis./Grafton), junior Cecelia Larsen (Seattle, Wash./Tacoma Baptist) and sophomore Virginia Larsen (Seattle, Wash./Tacoma Baptist) all had two steals.

Grove City will play Indiana, Pa. at 9:10 a.m. Saturday.
