Wolverines roll Behrend, 15-6

ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's water polo team improved to 2-2 both overall and in Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III play by earning a 16-5 victory Sunday at Penn State Behrend. Grove City led 8-3 at halftime and then put away the win by outscoring the Lions 4-0 in the fourth quarter.

Five Grove City players scored in the victory, led by a six-goal effort from senior Jocelyn Hinkle (Freeland, Pa./Hazleton). Junior Ashley Parks (Westerville, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) fired in four goals and classmate Ashley Henderson (Lansing, Mich./Lansing Christian) added three goals.

Sophomore Abby Jank (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) and freshman Maggie Blume (Chicago, Ill./Resurrection) also scored in the victory.

Junior Kira Okray (Bloomfield, Mich./Detroit Country Day) recorded a career-high five assists in the victory while Hinkle and Jank both tallied three assists. Blume and Parks also had assists.

Hinkle collected four steals while Henderson, Jank, Okray and sophomore Grace Klimek (Oakdale, Pa./South Fayette) all had three steals in each. Sophomore Mary Frank (Centreville, Md./Queen Anne's County) stopped nine shots in goal.

Grove City returns to action March 20-22 with a series of CWPA Division III matches in Monmouth, Ill.
