Hinkle named All-CWPA DIII First Team

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Grove City College senior women's water polo standout Jocelyn Hinkle (Freeland, Pa./Hazleton) has been named to the Collegiate Water Polo Association Women's Division III First Team for the third-consecutive year, as announced by the conference office on Thursday morning.

The CWPA Divsion III all-conference teams and award winners are determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.

Hinkle joined Connecticut College's Nicolle Jasbon and Washington & Jefferson's Sara Boldt on the seven-player First Team as the only three players to have earned the honor in three-straight seasons. She also joins former Wolverine great Chelsea Johnson as the only Grove City players to accomplish that feat.

A four-year letterwinner, Hinkle started all 14 regular-season games for the Wolverines (6-9 overall, 6-8 CWPA DIII) this year, leading the team with 47 goals and 62 steals while ranking second on the team with 22 assists. Earlier this season, she became Grove City's all-time program leader in assists and currently has 118 for her career. She also ranks second all-time with 223 goals and third with 245 steals.

Grove City will host the 2015 conference championships this Friday and Saturday in the James E. Longnecker Pool. The Wolverines enter the eight-team event as the fifth seed and will play their first of three games on the weekend against fourth-seeded Macalester on Friday at 5:20 p.m.
