CARLISLE, PA, November 11, 2000--Senior Angie Sabella (Grand Valley, PA/Tidioute) ended her college career with a team-best 45th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championship, hosted by Dickinson College at Carlisle High School.
Sabella covered the 5,000-meter course in 20:25.90, placing her in the top 20 percent in the pack of 237 runners.
Three other Lady Wolverines turned in top-100 times with junior Charity Pefferman (New Martinsville, WV/Magnolia) crossing next for Grove City in 20:46.20. Seniors Marnie Campbell (Woodinville, WA/Woodinville) and Sheri Noonan (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) placed 76th and 77th, respectively, with times of 20:51.30 and 20:52.50.
Senior Laura Pratt (Solon, OH/Solon) placed 149th overall in 21:56.50. Sophomore Megan Oyler (North East, PA/North East) finished in 169th place in 22:35.60, while freshman Faith Walter (Toms River, NJ/Toms River) took 194th place in her first trip to the regional meet with a time of 23:36.50.
Moravian won the championship with 54 points. Grove City placed 15th in the field of 35 teams with 409 points.
