Freshman leads GCC to fourth place at Allegheny

MEET RESULTS

MEADVILLE, PA, September 8, 2001--It took Lady Wolverine freshman Janna Sallade (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing) one meet to post her first Top-10 college finish.

Sallade clocked a team-best time of 20:27 to place 10th out of 78 runners, helping Grove City claim fourth place at the seven-school Allegheny Classic last Saturday at Robertson Field.  Allegheny won the meet paced by champion Nicole Morandi, who set a new course record in 19:19.

Grove City placed four other runners in the Top 30: senior Charity Pefferman (New Martinsville, WV/Magnolia), 15th, 20:33; senior Laura Pratt (Solon, OH/Solon), 20th, 10:55; senior Jessica Davenport (State College, PA/State College), 28th, 21:12; and junior Morgan Kiper (Hamilton, OH/Talawanda), 30th, 21:23.
