Pedersen wins Allegheny Invite; Lady Wolverines 2nd
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Freshman Elisa Pedersen (Santa Rosa, Calif./Montgomery) won the Allegheny College Invitational Saturday, helping the Lady Wolverine cross country team place second at the 10-team event with 50 points. Allegheny won the team title with 21 points.
Pedersen, who finished the course in 19:08.1, was one of three Grove City runners in the top 10. Sophomore Janna Sallade (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) placed sixth in 19:28.9 while Katherine Muse (Akron, Pa./Ephrata) took eighth in 20:07.5.
In addition, Theresa Miller (Landisville, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) finished 12th in 20:30.4 and Deb Bruno (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) crossed in 26th, posting a time of 21:30.0.
