Grove City takes second at Waynesburg
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- Freshman Deb Bruno (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) finished a Grove City-best sixth to help the Lady Wolverine cross country team place second at the Waynesburg Invitational Saturday. Bruno completed the six-kilometer course in 25:31.
The Lady Wolverines finished second to NAIA school Seton Hill. Seton Hill had 33 points, compared to Grove City's 60. Overall, 10 teams participated in the event.
Also for Grove City, Katie Lewis (Kettering, Ohio/Kettering) placed 12th in 26:24 while Cara Williams (Glen Campbell, Pa./Punxsutawney) took 14th in a time of 26:26. Megan Skarada (Clarion, Pa./Clarion-Limestone) finished 20th in the 26:42 while Lydia Navatsyk (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) was 20th in a time of 27:02. Megan Oyler (North East, Pa./North East) came home 24th in 27:15.
