Lady Wolverines open with 6th-place finish at CWRU

CLEVELAND -- A pair of Grove City College runners placed in the top twenty as the Grove City College women's cross country team finished sixth at the 10-team Case Western Reserve Sudeck Classic Saturday.

Sophomore Elisa Pedersen (Santa Rosa, Calif./Montgomery) took ninth in a time of 20:16 while freshman Cara Pierce (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Canton Central) finished 20th in a time of 21:13 in her collegiate debut.

Junior Theresa Miller (Landisville, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) placed 45th with a 22:14 clocking while freshman Cyndi Lee (North East, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) was 51st with a time of 22:26. Fellow freshman Alex Anderson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) took 52nd in 22:34.

Grove City finished with 150 points. Mount Union won with 25 points, followed by Fredonia State (93), Case Western Reserve (101), John Carroll (105) and Oberlin (114).
