Lady Wolverines take 6th of 15 at Allegheny

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's cross country team finished sixth at the 15-team Allegheny Invitational Saturday in Meadville.

Sophomore Elisa Pedersen (Santa Rosa, Calif./Montgomery) led Grove City with a third-place finish in a time of 23:32. It is Pedersen's third straight top 10 finish this year.

Freshmen Cara Pierce (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Canton Central) and Alex Anderson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) took 31st and 35th, respectively. Pierce turned in a time of 25:35 while Anderson came across in 26:04. 

Junior Theresa Miller (Landisville, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) placed 38th. 

Grove City earned 155 team points. Allegheny won with 28 points, followed by Penn State Behrend (59), Rochester (109), Carnegie Mellon (118) and Case Western Reserve (142).
