Grove City takes 2nd at Dickinson
CARLISLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's cross country placed second out of 36 teams in the 6-kilometer portion of the Dickinson Invitational Saturday morning.
Senior Elisa Pedersen (Santa Rosa, Calif./Montgomery) led the Wolverines with a third-place finish, covering the 6-kilometer course in 22 minutes, 36.51 seconds. Freshman Kristen Carter (Bellingham, Wash./Bellingham) took 15th in a time of 23:37.42 while sophomore Brittany Croft (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield) finished 21st in 24:17.87.
Also for Grove City, freshman Julia Seward (Elizabethtown, Tenn./Science Hill) took 34th in 24:34.06 and junior Cara Pierce (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Canton Central) finished 39th with a time of 24:42.54.
Only teams that competed in both the 4- and 6-kilometer races were counted in the official team standings.
