Grove City 3rd at All-Ohio Invitational

DELAWARE, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's cross country placed third out of 11 teams in Ohio Wesleyan's Ohio Intercollegiate Championships Open Race Friday afternoon. The Wolverines accumulated 109 points, trailing only Geneseo State (22 points) and Ithaca (94).

Senior Elisa Pedersen (Santa Rosa, Calif./Montgomery) led Grove City with a second-place finish, covering the course in 18 minutes, 50.7 seconds. Freshman Julia Seward (Elizabethtown, Tenn./Science Hill) took 18th in 20:09.9 while freshman Kristen Carter (Bellingham, Wash./Bellingham) finished 26th in 20:32.7.

Sophomore Brittany Croft (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield) placed 31st (20:37.2) while junior Cara Pierce (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Canton Central) finished 32nd in 20:39.6.

Grove City returns to action Oct. 29 for the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships at Thiel College in Greenville.
