Wolverines finish 4th at Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's cross country team earned fourth place in the Division II-III segment of the Penn State University Spiked Shoe Invitational Friday evening at Blue-White Golf Course. Grove City finished the event with 120 team points.

Johns Hopkins won the title with 15 points, followed by Geneseo State (54) and Cortland State (77).

Junior Kara Cremean (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion) led Grove City by placing 45th with a time of 24 minutes, 31 seconds. Senior Laurel Skorup (Sandwich, Ill./Sandwich) took 49th in 24:37 while senior Austin Powell (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) finished 52nd in 24:48.

Freshman Lydia Keiper (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) earned 54th in 24:52 and classmate Kellen McGann (Suffield, Conn./Suffield) took 58th in 25:13.

Johns Hopkins sophomore Hannah Oneda won the individual race in 21:47.

The Wolverines return to action September 21 at the University of Buffalo Invitational.
