Grove City competes at Buffalo Stampede

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Grove City College women's cross country team competed in the University of Buffalo UB Stampede Saturday afternoon and finished the four-team meet with 93 points. Buffalo won with 19 points, followed by fellow Division I institutions Binghamton (55) and Niagara (69).

Junior Kara Creamean (Vermilion, Ohio) led Grove City's effort by finishing 19th overall in 20 minutes, 40 seconds. Sophomore Lydia Hogan (Lutherville, Md./Redeemer Christian) took 20th in a time of 20:52 while senior Austin Powell (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) captured 22nd (21:04).

Senior Cayla Clawson (York, Pa./Central York) placed 23rd (21:08), one spot ahead of senior Laurel Skorup (Sandwich, Ill./Sandwich). Skorup recorded a time of 21:09.

Junior Caroline Kimpel (Columbiana, Ohio/Columbiana) finished 30th (21:44) and senior Grace Postma (New Berlin, Wis./New Berlin West) placed 33rd (21:56).

Grove City will compete in the Chatham Invitational next Saturday in Gibsonia, Pa.
