Rabenold wins again; Grove City eighth at Dickinson

NEWVILLE, Pa. --Junior Emily Rabenold (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) defeated the field by 33 seconds to win her third-consecutive individual title as the Grove City College women's cross country team competed at the Dickinson College Long-Short Invitational on Saturday morning.

Grove City finished 12th out of 35 teams in the six-kilometer long-course race and 12th out of 40 teams in the four-kilometer short-course portion to finish eighth overall among teams who competed in both portions of the event.

Rabenold completed the long-course in 22 minutes, 31.39 seconds to finish first in the 265-runner field that contained NCAA Division I Bucknell, multiple NCAA Division II programs, and nationally-ranked Division III programs Dickinson and Haverford.

Senior Kara Cremean (Vermillion, Ohio/Vermillion) finished second for the Wolverines in the long-course race and 54th overall with a time of 24:43.20 while classmate Caroline Kimpel completed took 100th in 26:08.34.

Junior Stevie Huston (Greensburg, Pa./Latrobe) led Grove City's short-course contingent, finishing 16th out of 301 runners with a time of 15:13.30. Sophomore Kellen McGann (Suffield, Conn./Suffield) placed 49th in 15:50.72 while freshman Haley Woodruff (Orrville, Ohio/Orrville) finished 63rd with a time of 16:04.50.

Grove City has nearly a month away from competition before returning to action on October 18 at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble.
