Wolverines run well at Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Led by top-20 finishes from senior Emily Rabenold (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) and sophomore Martha Mihm (Stoneridge, N.Y./Rondout Valley), the Grove City College women's cross country team ran well to finish fourth at the NCAA Division I-heavy Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational at the Penn State University Golf Courses on Friday evening.

Rabenold finished the six-kilometer course in a time of 22 minutes, 31 seconds to take 17th in the 52-runner field, which also included runners from nationally-ranked D-I schools Penn State, Syracuse and West Virginia, while Mihm was just behind her in 18th with a time of 22:38.

Senior Stevie Huston (Greensburg, Pa./Latrobe) was 33rd with a time of 24:37 while junior Lydia Keiper (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) posted a time of 24:58 to finish 35th. Senior Anna Cessar (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) rounded out the Grove City scoring five with a 36th-place time of 25:07, and junior Kellen McGann (Suffield, Conn./Suffield) and senior Emily Townsend (Tucker, Ga./Killian Hill Christian) also finished in the Wolverine top-seven with times of 25:15 and 25:42, respectively.

Grove City returns to on Saturday, September 19 at the Saint Vincent College Invitational in Latrobe.
