Grove City competes at Penn State Open

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's track and field team competed in the Penn State Open at Nittany Lion Track Saturday afternoon in the 2006 regular season finale.

Sophomore Matt Kulinski (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) led Grove City's effort by winning the pole vault. Kulinski cleared 14 feet, 5 1/4 inches to earn the individual title. Sophomore Chris Andrew (Bow, N.H./Bow) finished second in the 3000 steeplechase with a time of 10 minutes, 10.50 seconds, to post Grove City's top finish on the track.

Also for the Wolverines, junior Seth Fox (Ford City, Pa./Ford City) took third in the 200 (23.10) while junior Mark Murchie (Falls Church, Va./George Mason) placed third in the 400 (51.43). Sophomore Greg Kroleski (San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch) took third in the steeplechase with a time of 10:22.63.

Senior Dan Chittick (Glenside, Pa./Cheltenham) finished fourth in the 1500 (4:05.75) while junior Sam Dippold (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) placed fourth in the 400 hurdles (57.26).
