HEAD COACH DR. STAN KEEHLWETTER

Dr. Stan Keehlwetter is in his fourth season as head men's track and field coach at Grove City College.

In 2007, Keehlwetter directed Grove City to its eighth Presidents' Athletic Conference title in nine years.  He was named the 2007 PAC Men's Track & Field Coach of the Year, earning the award for the third straight year.

Keehlwetter assumed the head-coaching position along with his new duties as full-time Dean of Harbison Chapel on campus in fall 2003.

Keehlwetter took over as head coach after 15 seasons as the head boys track and field coach at nearby Mercer High School. During the 2003 spring season, Keehlwetter earned his 100th career dual-meet victory. Overall, Mercer went 107-36-2 in 15 seasons, including six Mercer County Athletic Conference Division II (small school) championships.

In addition, at least one Mercer athlete qualified for the state championships in each of his 15 seasons as head coach. Keehlwetter was also an assistant track and field coach at Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh from 1973-78.

As full-time Dean of Harbison Chapel, Keehlwetter is the liaison for all of the College's on-campus religious extracurricular groups and teaches part-time in Grove City's humanities department.

He is also the assistant women's soccer coach at Grove City, a position he has held for eight seasons. Keehlwetter has helped Grove City's women's soccer team to a pair of Presidents' Athletic Conference championships and four postseason invitations over the past eight years.

Keehlwetter and his wife Lois live in Mercer. They have three adult children.
