GROVE CITY, PA, March 30, 2000--Eric Bell (Grove City, PA/Grove City) delivered a bases-loaded, two-out game-winning single -- part of a five-run Wolverine seventh -- as Grove City rallied to beat conference rival Bethany in Thursday's nightcap, 10-9.  The visiting Bison won the first game, 14-1.

Bell, who went 4-for-4 in the victory with a double, three RBI and three runs scored, led off the seventh with a single.  After Adam Myers (Conneaut Lake, PA/Conneaut Lake) flew out to center, Mike Kashurba (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe) and Nate Kauffman (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillan) each drew walks to load the bases for Drew Hoagland (Butler, PA/Knoch), who singled home Bell.  Mike Volchko (Akron, OH/Archbishop Hoban) then picked up an RBI with a bases-loaded walk, cutting the deficit to two, 9-7.  After a strikeout, Steve Navarro (Gilbertsville, PA/The Hill School) was hit-by-the-pitch, forcing home Hoagland.  Adam Booth (Hartville, OH/Lake) then walked, plating the tying run.  Bell followed with a solid single to left, driving home Volchko with the game-winner.

Myers, Booth and Hoagland each had two hits in the nightcap.  Myers and Kashurba owned the Wolverines' only two hits in the 14-1 loss.

Grove City's record moved to 6-6 overall, 6-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.  Bethany evened its mark to 12-12 overall and 1-1 in the PAC.
