Snorkel Order Form

Featuring coaching by various college coaches, Grove City College All-Americans and National Qualifiers, Olympic Trials Qualifiers, and successful high school and age group coaches, the Crimson Wave Swim Camp staff will strive to improve your skills through various training techniques and stroke analysis.  Because we understand how important your sport and your performance are to you, we include a training session each day to ensure that your summer training is not disrupted.

The Crimson Wave Swim Camp also features guest lecturers - in past we have had the opportunity to showcase Betsy Mitchell (Olympic Gold Medalist and former World Record Holder in the 200 Meter Backstroke), Caleb Courage (3 time NCAA Champion, NCAA Record Holder, and Olympic Trials Qualifier), Kaitlyn Orstein (8 time NCAA Champion, NCAA Record Holder, and Olympic Trials Qualifier), and Dr. Jeff Lynn (Nutrition and Exercise Science professor from Slippery Rock University).

2012 Keynote Speaker will be Laura Barito, the 2011 NCAA Woman of the Year.  A 2011 graduate of Stevens Tech with a Mechanical Engineering degree, Laura was the NCAA Division III National Champion in the 50 Freestyle and 400 meter Hurdles and is an Olympic Trials Qualifier in the 50 and 100 meter freestyle events.  Based on her accomplishments in the pool, on the track, and in the classroom, Laura was selected for this prestigious award over nearly 500 nominees from Divisions I, II and III.  In addition to training for the Trials, Laura is currently working on her PhD in Biomechanics at the University of Delaware as well as coaching swimming.

Due to the equipment that we will be using (Power Racks, Relay Judging Platforms, parachutes, etc.), Crimson Wave Elite Swim Camp is for athletes from the graduating class of 2017 (entering 8th grade in Fall 2012) or older.  In addition to time in the pool Crimson Wave Swim Camp will also feature daily classroom sessions which will discuss topics such as nutrition, taper, technique, race strategy, and college preparation.

The Comprehensive Camp is designed for younger and less experienced athletes entering grades 3rd through 8th in the Fall of 2012.  This three day camp will focus primarily on stroke development while still including some of the features of the Elite Camp such as a nutrition talk and our keynote speaker.

While the Elite and Comprehensive Camps will be run on overlapping days, the camps will not share pool time or instructors.
