GROVE CITY, PA, November 28, 2001--A 50-28 edge on the glass allowed Grove City College to pull out a 66-57 victory over visiting Denison University at the College Arena Wednesday night.

The starting frontcourt trio of forwards Tanner Prosser (Pittsburgh, PA/Brentwood) and Pat Roberts (Home, PA/Marion Center) and center Phil Bushre (Swartz Creek, MI/Swartz Creek) each grabbed nine rebounds. Prosser led the Wolverines (3-1) with 15 points while Bushre poured in 13. Guard Andy Vlajkovich (Canfield, OH/Canfield) chipped in 11 points.

Grove City closed the first half with a 24-11 spurt that allowed the Wolverines to take a 28-18 halftime lead. In the first half, Grove City held the Big Red (0-4) to 1-of-15 shooting from inside the arc. Denison did make five threes in the first 20 minutes and finished the game 10-of-21 from three-point territory.

A Jim Fetzner (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) lay-in gave the Wolverines a 48-29 lead midway through the second half. But the Big Red whittled the lead down to 58-55 with two minutes left in the game.

However, consecutive putbacks from Bushre and two free throws apiece from Vlajkovich and Fetzner sealed the victory.
