Prosser nears triple-double in Wolverine win
PITTSBURGH, PA, December 15, 2001--Sophomore forward Tanner Prosser (Pittsburgh, PA/Brentwood) fired in a season-high 24 points as Grove City College rolled past host La Roche College, 76-61, Saturday night.
Prosser, who also had nine rebounds and seven assists, was one of four Wolverines to reach double-digits in the scoring column. Freshman forward Nate Maurer (Mount Lebanon, PA/Linsly School) added 15 points and nine boards, both career highs.
Guards Jim Fetzner (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) and Andy Vlajkovich (Canfield, OH/Canfield) each chipped in with 10 points.
The Wolverines (6-3) led 32-22 at the half and out-rebounded the Redhawks (2-5), 46-25. Grove City also made 28 of 33 free-throw attempts, paced by Prosser's 14-of-15 accuracy.
