GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Visiting Kenyon (1-7) made 14 of 24 three-point attempts Wednesday night, vaulting the Lords to a 69-65 win over Grove City (4-2) in non-conference men's basketball action at the Grove City College Arena.

Matt Formato led Kenyon with 27 points, including five three-point goals. The Lords made six of nine three-point attempts in the second half and finished 23 of 45 (51 percent) from the floor.

Grove City trailed 65-55 with 4:28 left but eventually trimmed the lead to 66-65 on a three-pointer from senior guard Mike Lukcic (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic). However, Formato made two free throws and after a missed three-pointer by Grove City junior Matt Phillips (Bainbridge, Ohio/Kenston), Andrew Good sealed the win by splitting two free throws.

Lukcic led Grove City with 15 points while Phillips, senior Ryan Eller (Erie, Pa./Iroquois) and senior Phil Bushre (Swartz Creek, Mich./Swartz Creek) all scored 13 points. Eller and Phillips each had five assists. Each team had 22 rebounds and 15 turnovers.

Grove City had won each of the previous five meetings with Kenyon. The Wolverines visit Lake Erie Saturday at 2 p.m.
