Cold second half dooms Grove City

PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- Visiting Grove City (4-3) scored just 11 second-half points Saturday afternoon, dropping a 60-42 decision at Lake Erie College in non-conference men's basketball action. It is Grove City's third straight loss.

The Wolverines led 31-30 at the half but shot just 5 for 20 (25 percent) in the second half after making 13 of 19 shots (68 percent) in the first half. Grove City also committed 25 turnovers, which led to 27 Lake Erie points.

Freshman guard Shawn Carr (New Castle, Pa./Mohawk) led Grove City with nine points. Robert Williams led Lake Erie with 11 points. Grove City out-rebounded Lake Erie (3-2) 34-29.

Grove City visits Geneva Monday night at 8 p.m.
