Wolverines fall to Lake Erie at Bluffton Tournament
BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Grove City College men’s basketball team fell to 4-5 Wednesday night with a 71-57 loss to Lake Erie College in the semifinals of the McDonald’s of Bluffton Tournament at Bluffton College.
Senior guard J.D. Collar (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) made his 2004-2005 debut Wednesday night and fired in 22 points. Collar, who went 4-for-7 behind the three-point line Wednesday, missed the first eight games due to injury. Senior center Phil Bushre (Swartz Creek, Mich./Swartz Creek) added 14 points and seven rebounds. Senior point guard Mike Lukcic (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.
Grove City trailed 41-22 at halftime. The Wolverines will play Denison in Thursday's consolation game at 1 p.m.
