Wolverines snap skid with win at Greensburg

GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Grove City College men's basketball team snapped its six-game losing streak Tuesday night with a 71-65 win over Pitt-Greensburg at Chambers Hall in non-conference action.

Five Grove City players scored in double figures, led by senior center Phil Bushre (Swartz Creek, Mich./Swartz Creek). Bushre tossed in 18 points and added six rebounds. Senior guard J.D. Collar (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson), senior forward Ryan Eller (Erie, Pa./Iroquois) and sophomore forward Mark Smith (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) each scored 11 points for the Wolverines (5-6).

Senior point guard Mike Lukcic (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) chipped in 10 points, six rebounds and a game-high five assists. The Wolverines led 33-32 at the half and held a 38-34 edge on the glass. It is Grove City's first-ever win at Pitt-Greensburg.

The Wolverines will play Elizabethtown in the semifinals of the DeSales University Casa Mia Tournament in Allentown Friday evening.
