Elizabethtown downs Grove City
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Grove City College men's basketball team fell to 5-7 Friday night with a 93-63 loss to Elizabethtown in the semifinals of the DeSales University Casa Mia Tournament at Billera Hall.
Elizabethtown (7-5) jumped out to a 20-4 lead and never looked back. The Blue Jays led 41-28 at the half and out-rebounded Grove City 35-24.
Senior forward Ryan Eller (Erie, Pa./Iroquois) and senior center Phil Bushre (Swartz Creek, Mich./Swartz Creek) each had 10 points for Grove City. Jon Connor led Elizabethtown with 19 points. The Blue Jays had 14 three-pointers as a team.
The Wolverines will play Averett in the consolation game Saturday 2 p.m.
