Wolverines fall at Case Western

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's basketball team fell to 2-5 Saturday night with an 86-66 loss at Case Western Reserve in non-conference action at Horsburgh Gymnasium.

The Wolverines shot just 9 of 31 (29 percent) from the floor in the first half and trailed 41-21 at halftime.

Three Wolverines scored in double figures. Sophomore guards Joe Capotosta (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) and Shawn Carr (New Castle, Pa./Mohawk) each scored 14 points while freshman guard Ryan Gibson (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) added 11 points and three assists. Junior forward Craig Hallman (Ellwood City, Pa./Riverside) had six points and a team-high five rebounds.

Grove City also committed just 11 turnovers, the Wolverines' second-lowest total of the year.

Richard Mullen and Carson Oren each scored 22 points for Case Western (7-1). Grove City will visit Hiram Wednesday night in non-conference action at 7:30 p.m.
