A tremendous resource for both Grove City College's varsity teams and students and faculty at large, the College Fitness Center has been serving the campus community since its construction in 1989.

Built as part of the 1989 addition to the Physical Learning Center (PLC), the Fitness Center has played a key role in the College's overarching health and wellness initiatives.

When built, the facility was just one room- the 4,180 square foot space in which the free-weight equipment is currently located. A second, larger room was added in 2006 when the College's bookstore moved out of the PLC. The two rooms, now configured as an aerobic room and a weight room, are connected by an adjoining hallway in the back and contain the latest in high-tech equipment to gain a total body workout.

Fitted primarily with Cybex equipment, the facility contains more than 35 cardio machines (stationary bikes, arc trainers, stair climbers and treadmills), the complete VR3 line of Cybex selectorized weight machines, more than 25 free weight stations, and over 200 dumbbells of various weights.
