CHRISTINE SLATER- Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Christine Slater is entering her first season as an assistant coach for the Grove City College women's basketball team. Slater is also entering her first year as head softball coach and  holds the rank of instructor of physical education.

Slater, a 2011 Grove City graduate, returns to the College after spending two years as a graduate assistant coach at fellow Presidents’ Athletic Conference member Waynesburg University.

During her two seasons with Waynesburg’s women’s basketball program, she helped the Yellow Jackets to a 34-21 overall record, including a 20-win season in 2011-12. Slater assisted in nearly every aspect of the Waynesburg program in those two seasons.

Slater also served as a graduate assistant for the Waynesburg softball team in 2013.

Slater earned eight total letters as a two-sport athlete at Grove City from 2007 to 2011. She started all four years for the Grove City women’s basketball team and graduated as the program’s second all-time leading scorer with 1,634 points.

She led the conference in scoring as a junior and again as a senior. Slater earned First Team All-PAC in each of her final three seasons.

Slater also started four seasons in the infield for the Grove City softball team and earned All-PAC recognition in each of those years.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Grove City in 2011 and recently earned her master’s of business administration from Waynesburg.
