ALYSSA HUNT - Head Water Polo Coach
Alyssa (Birch) Hunt is entering her second year as Grove City College's head women's water polo coach. The Grove City College Department of Physical Education and Athletics announced the hiring of Hunt as its fifth head women's water polo coach in program history in August 2014.

In her first year at the helm, Hunt led the Wolverines to a 7-11 overall record and a fourth-place finish and the CWPA Division III Championships. Two Wolverine players earned All-CWPA D-III honors under her tutelage, and 2015 graduate Jocelyn Hinkle was named an ACWPC Honorable Mention All-American.

Hunt also serves as an assistant swimming and diving coach and an instructor of physical education within the department.

Hunt comes to Grove City after spending the last five years at California Baptist University. She earned four letters as a member of the Cal Baptist women's water polo team from 2010 to 2014, helping CBU to a 97-50 aggregate record and recording 70 career goals and 110 career assists during her four seasons of play (2010-12, 2014).

She graduated summa cum laude from Cal Baptist in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and recently finished her master's degree in kinesiology at CBU.

A native of Calgary, Alberta, Hunt worked as an assistant coach for the Alberta Water Polo Association's provincial team from June 2010 to August 2013.

She and her husband Joe reside in Grove City.
