Take a student's perspective of life at Grove City College

Photo of the Week

The Gala was held outside in the courtyard and was a huge hit this year.   Here, at the end of the Gala, students adopted goldfish from the fountain.  They aren't much to cuddle with but fish do make healthy atmosphere in a dorm room.

Hello and welcome to another week of Our View. This week we bring you photos of the Gala,  Tau Alpha Pi One Acts Performances, Art Show, and Women's Arm Wrestling competition.  It has been a great year filled with fun for us and we are looking forward to senior year next year.  We hope you enjoy the pictures.

The Gala Dance Tent was packed tighter than my sugar cookie filled suit pockets.  The tent was bustling for hours and filled with couples bonding, singles roaming, and groups of friends dancing in circles.

One Acts was a blast this year!  In "The Actor's Nightmare" the executioner, played by Derrick Winger, finally ended The Actor's misery after a bad dream come true.

In "No Show Like This Show," written by Alan Edwards and Neil Manzullo, four musicals were reenacted in fast forward.  For "West Side Story" the actors pulled members of the audience out onto the stage for a dance routine.

Doug Baker, Megan Krimmel, and Kayla Carpenter danced a little salsa during "West Side Story."

For parents weekend, several art instructors collaborated to put together their annual student art exhibit. Students from all types of media join together and submit pieces for display. This year's exhibit was fantastic! There are so many talented students here at Grove City!

The intensity at the Women's Arm Wrestle grew fierce as Laura and Morgan were locked in an epic stare down.  Laura (left) remaining undefeated, advanced to the next round.

Another champion began to emerge in the opposite bracket.  The black widow went "Over the Top" and caught her opponents by surprise Stallone style.

The two bracket champions faced off in one last battle.  It was the battle between muscle and technique, strength and speed, this was serious.  From the start, the match was dead even and viewers cheered.  Laura slowly gained ground until she reached down into an explosive energy source and SLAM!, victory.

Thank you all for coming to visit our site this week.  We will be taking finals soon and then we're going on summer break so it will be a while until we will be back in action.  We are looking forward to a new year with all new events and all new freshmen personalities.  Have a great summer!

In Christ,

Brian and Chelsea
