Through the Eyes of a Grove City College Student

October 4 - October 10

Homecoming Weekend!
What fantastic times are had by all during Homecoming! There are tents for every organization and Greek group and food everywhere. Friends create memories that are sure to last forever!

It is wonderful to see alumni return and enjoy some time with old friends. IT is an encouragement to those of us who hope to be coming back for many years into the future.

Each year at Homecoming, alumni come back with recent engagements. Even though they aren't students anymore, their fraternity brothers never miss an opportunity to creek them anyway!

Homecoming Parade
The parade is one of the most fun parts of Homecoming Day! All of the sororities and fraternities team up to create a float and they were wonderful this year. The theme was "Romantic Couples Throughout History" with such depictions as Fred and Wilma Flintstone, Danny and Sandy from Grease, and Rose and Jack from the Titanic.

Rachel Paul and Chris Marasco were named Homecoming King and Queen during half-time at the football game on Saturday.

Homecoming wouldn't be complete without the football game on Saturday afternoon! The stands were full with students and alumni who watched as GCC played Thomas More. The band performed a rousing medley of romantic songs for half-time.

I'm so happy you stopped by to take a look at the campus through a student's eyes. It's been a pleasure putting this page together for you. I am so looking forward to this coming semester and all the fun it will bring!

Sincerely,

Brittany Hayward

I hope you’ve enjoyed your peek at “Student View” and I invite you to stop back next week for more of the Grove City experience through the eyes of a student!
