Through the Eyes of a Grove City College Student

September 9 - September 16

The school year is in full swing, and campus groups are beginning to host lots of great events.

Salt Co. hosted their annual Fall Fest this past weekend. Although the rainy weather moved the event indoors, there was still lots to do! Popular activities included pumpkin carving, guessing how many candy corn were in the jar, and square dancing. Even Dr. Welton took part in a line dance or two.

Around Campus
Before too much homework weighs us down, lots of students are taking advantage of their "free time" to spend quality time with friends. This group decided to have a weekend cookout, despite the rain and chilly weather, and enjoyed a big meal together.

Block Party
With all of the freshmen welcome week activities aside, Orientation Board put on their yearly Block Party (formally known as the Street Dance) for all students on campus. Aside from free food, which drew many people in, attendees enjoyed a classic game of cornhole, volleyball, and of course dancing.

Always Remember

In honor of the events that happened 10 years ago on September 11th, our campus held a beautiful memorial service. While the mood was rather somber, the sun shined brightly all day and provided a gorgeous sunset backdrop to the ceremony.

Coffee House
SGA (Student Government Association) sponsored their first coffee house of the year on Wednesday with quite the turnout. Students snacked on delicious drinks and candy while enjoying music provided by students.

Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to documenting the 2011-2012 school year in photos, so be sure to drop by every week
for more of the Grove City experience through the eyes of a student!
