Through the Eyes of a Grove City College Student

October 1 - October 19

How did October sneak up so fast?

Caramel Apple Sales
InterCultural Club (ICC) held their first ever caramel apple sale this month to raise funds for an international food night and their annual spring trip to Washington, D.C. for the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival. The process of making the apples was a sticky mess, but everyone had a great time and enjoyed the break from studying for midterms.

Coffee House
SGA hosted their second coffee house of the year, featuring music performances by lots of talented Grove City students. Of course there was free coffee to complete the coffee house atmosphere.

Battle of the Bands
Hosted by the Gamma Sigs and Crons, this event was a success! All proceeds went to support the family of Alyssa Sabo - a beloved Grove City student.

Salsa Dance
The Grove City Ballroom Club hosted their first all-campus salsa dance. Free lessons were provided for beginners, and more experienced dancers spun and dipped across the floor all night!

3v3 Basketball Tournament
SGA and the Senior Class hosted a basketball tournament for anyone who wanted to participate. The air in the gym was thick with intensity and determination.

The smell of fall is in the air.

       Hickstoberfest
The men of Hicks Hall put together a favorite fall event - Hickstoberfest. An afternoon of cornhole, pumpkin carving, and arm wrestling, topped off with a pie baking contest and delicious root beer kegs provides everyone the chance to get in touch with their inner German.

Deas Vail Concert
The big fall music event this year was the Deas Vail concert. Opening for the main act were the Blue Light Bandits (Dan DeCristofaro and Joel Ansett - Grove City College students) and Joy Ike. There was a huge turnout of fans and students ready for a great show.
