Have a wonderful Easter Break!
The Pitmen Painters
Grove City College had the privilege of being the first ever amateur
theatre in the nation to perform the hit Broadway show, "The Pitment
Painters." The play is about a group of coal miners who, with little
education and training, challenged the meaning of art with their
paintings of the common man and life in the coal mines.
Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival
A few members of Grove City's InterCultural Club (ICC) made the trek
to Washington, D.C. for the 100th Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival.
They made it just in time to see the Cherry Blossom trees in full
bloom, as well as explore the rest of downtown D.C., despite the
chilly weather and rain.
Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to documenting the
2011-2012 school year in photos, so be sure to drop by every week
for more of the Grove City
experience through the eyes of a student!
