Rabenold, Betz compete at ECAC Championships

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Grove City College junior distance runner Emily Rabenold (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) and sophomore hurdler Nick Betz (Colorado Springs, Colo./Discovery Canyon) each competed in the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend at The Armory.

Friday night, Rabenold placed third in the 5000 meters with a time of 17 minutes, 42.51 seconds. Wellesley's Taylor Bickford won the 5000 in 17:40.57.

Betz placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles Saturday morning with a time of 8.52 seconds. He qualified for Saturday's finals by earning ninth place in Friday night's preliminaries with a time of 8.42 seconds. The top nine men advanced to Saturday's finals. Salisbury's Luke Campbell won the 60 hurdles with a meet-record time of 8.02 seconds.

This season marks Grove City's first appearance at the ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
