GROVE CITY, PA, December 9, 1999--Dave Pifer (Sarver, PA/Freeport) drilled a game-tying three-pointer with 18 seconds left in regulation, but Juniata's Tim Lonesky converted both ends of a two-shot foul with eight seconds showing to give the visiting Eagles a 62-60 win at the College Arena.

Grove City fell to 1-5, while Juniata moved to 1-6.

The Wolverines led at halftime, 33-27, and held the six-point margin three minutes into the second half.  Juniata rallied to take the lead a minute later, 36-35, and the lead changed six more times before the final buzzer.

Lonesky's game-winning free throws gave him a game-high 17 points on the night.  He was one of four Eagles in double figures.

Tanner Prosser (Brentwood, PA/Brentwood) led the way for Grove City with 12 points on 6-for-8 shooting and a game-high 10 rebounds.  Damon Finazzo (Erie, PA/McDowell) scored 10 points and added three assists.  Dan Quinn (Uniontown, OH/Green) grabbed seven boards.

The Wolverines outshot Juniata from the floor 44% to 41%, but converted just 8 of 14 (57%) from the free-throw line compared to the Eagles' 13-for-17 (77%).
