Wolverines open at Clarion

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team opened the 2013-14 season Saturday afternoon by competing in Clarion University's Early Bird Invitational. Division II member Clarion finished with 203 points and Grove City accumulated 124 points.

Junior Ben Satre (Hockessin, Del./Homeschooled) won the 200 butterfly with a victorious time of 2 minutes, 7.47 seconds.

Grove City then closed the meet by winning the 400 free relay. The quartet of freshman Drew Nobisch (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway), senior C.P. Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River), junior Caleb McKusick (Waconia, Minn./Homeschooled) and sophomore Jordan Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River) combined for a winning time of 3:23.06.

Grove City opens its dual meet schedule next Saturday at Allegheny. The non-conference meet begins at 1 p.m.
