Wolverines swim at Kenyon Invitational

GAMBIER, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team competed in the three-day Kenyon College Total Performance Invitational Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Wolverines concluded the event with 295 points, good for seventh in the team standings.

Junior diver Richie Klimek (Oakdale, Pa./South Fayette) helped lead the Wolverine effort by placing third in both diving events. He took third in 1-meter diving with 408.30 points. Klimek also took third in 3-meter diving with 366.37 points.

Grove City also recorded notable finishes in several relay events. In the 200 free relay, the quartet of freshman Drew Nosbisch (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway), freshman Jake Marino (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford), freshman Daniel Peng (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) and sophomore Jordan Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River) took 14th with a time of 1 minute, 27.55 seconds.

Senior Louis Gabriele (Mahwah, N.J./Don Bosco), sophomore Jim Bossert (Colorado Springs, Colo./Pine Creek), freshman Sean McPhillips (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) and senior C.P. Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River) placed 15th in the 200 free relay (1:28.22).

Bossert, Gabriele, Nosbisch and Jordan Dehli earned 15th in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:35.90. Gabriele, Nosbisch, C.P. Dehli and Jordan Dehli combined for an 18th-place finish in the 400 free relay (3:14.00) while Bossert, Gabriele, Nosbisch and freshman Jeremy Kim (Frederick, Md./New Life Christian) teamed for a 19th-place finish in the 400 medley relay (3:32.73).

Grove City returns to action January 11 against Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Washington & Jefferson. The home meet begins at 1 p.m.
