Grove City competes at Pitt Quad

PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team competed at the University of Pittsburgh's Western Pennsylvania Invitational Saturday at Trees Pool. The Wolverines earned a 139-111 victory over NCAA Division II foe Clarion in the meet.

Grove City fell to Pitt, 242-45, and to Carnegie Mellon by a 236-39 score.

Freshman Drew Nosbisch (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) paced Grove City by recording three fifth-place finishes. He took fifth in the 100 breaststroke in 1 minute, 0.37 seconds. Nosbisch also took fifth in the 200 breast (2:13.59) and the 100 butterfly (53.21).

Senior Noah Walker (Lexington, Ky./Homeschooled) took sixth in the 200 individual medley (2:03.82) while freshman Jeremy Kim (Frederick, Md./New Life Christian) placed sixth in the 200 butterfly (2:00.94).

Senior Dave Bossert (Colorado Springs, Colo./Pine Creek) placed sixth in the 1650 with a time of 10:28.81.

Grove City will host the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships as part of the College's James E. Longnecker Invitational February 12-15.
