Lady Wolverines Still Rolling Box Score GROVE CITY, PA, January 14, 2000 --All 11 Lady Wolverines filled the point column led by Kristy Kegg's (Johnstown, PA/Ferndale) 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting as Grove City won its third in a row and fifth of six in an 85-40 rout over visiting D'Youville. The Lady Wolverines improved to 8-4, while the Lady Spartans fell to 3-11. Kegg, one of four L'Wolves in double figures, was 3-for-3 from outside the arc and added five assists, three rebounds and two steals in 19 minutes. Livia Wright (Economy, PA/Ambridge) recorded 16 points and four boards. Jackie Becker (Broadview Hts., OH/Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) and Lindsay Yeats (McLean, VA/Langley) had 10 points each. Becker added a game-high eight rebounds, while Yeats was also credited with five caroms and three steals. D'Youville was led by Martha Sommers, who scored 17 points. Grove City opens its Presidents' Athletic Conference slate Wednesday against defending champion Bethany. Tip-off in Bethany, WV is slated for 6:00 p.m. |
