JEFF BUXTON- Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach
Jeff Buxton enters his fourth season as Grove City College head women's tennis coach.

Buxton joined the College's athletic department in July 2012 as head tennis coach and as an assistant professor of physical education and exercise science.

Last year, Buxton led the Wolverines to a 9-7 overall record and a 7-1 regular season conference mark as Grove City reclaimed the Presidents' Athletic Conference team title and a berth in the NCAA Division III Championships for the first time since 2011-12. Then-senior Caroline McGuire capped a fantastic career by capturing conference Player of the Year honors for the second time in her career.

In 2013-14, Grove City's women went 9-6 overall and 8-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference before finishing second at the PAC Championships.

In Buxton's first season, the Wolverines went 9-6 overall and 7-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference while McGuire captured her first conference Player of the Year award.

Buxton is also the head men's tennis coach at the College and has guided Grove City's men's team to the conference title and a berth in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament in each of his first three seasons, earning PAC Coach of the Year honors for his efforts.

Buxton is the fourth head women's tennis coach in Grove City history.

Buxton comes to Grove City after spending nine years as the general manager of One on One Fitness Consultants in State College, Pa.

In that position, Buxton developed One on One's personal fitness training instructor program and educational curriculum. He also coordinated and oversaw the development of all staff members.

Buxton also served as a guest lecturer for the Penn State University Kinesiology Club and various kinesiology classes.

He has been certified as a National Academy of Sports Medicine Enhancement Specialist and as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer.

Buxton earned a bachelor's of science degree in kinesiology/movement science from Penn State in 2003.

He completed his master of science in exercise science and health promotion at California University of Pennsylvania in December 2010.

A native of Wyoming, Pa., Buxton resides in Grove City with his wife, Mandie, son, Cayden, and daughter, Ellie.
